This, mostly because of exposure/name.

Hilliard looked college ready when he was 15... just sayin'.

Although I never like looking at the Jr's, thanks for the list.
What are LSU's chances on these guys?

I think we have great shots at signing most of them. The ones most people seem to be worried about are Johnson and Rasco. Johnson has already committed to Tennessee so a lot of work has to be done and a lot of things need to happen to reel him back. Our chances of doing this depend on who you talk to; some think he is gone, others think we have a good chance of getting him back, others think we have a slim chance, still others think he is ours. Who knows at this point? Rasco, it has been said, has strong feelings for Texas. Our chances with him right now are probably around 50/50 or at least as good as any other school. Still, some think he is already leaning to Texas and we have to make up ground. Everyone seems to feel good about our chances with Landry but there have been concerns raised about his grades. Can someone in or near Lutcher please go and tutor him? Now?

I think it's a good list, but if I had to make a tweak or two I'd switch Rasco and Johnson and maybe Hilliard and Hill.

I may be mistaken, but 3.7 comes to mind when i think of Landry.

That is outstanding if the case. I have no idea personally about his grades. Other people here who claim to know him have recently brought up the issue of grade concerns. Perhaps they are making claims of which they know not.

Tigerbait says he's already academically qualified.

I taught Corey White last year -- very very happy to see LSU offer him a scholarship. Would have gone to watch him against Belaire tonight if not for the rain.

i'm not sure why hilliard doesn't get the respect of most people on this site. this kid is as good as any top back coming out the last few years. he will be a top 3 in the state. there is no way a rb this good out of the state of LA will be ranked any lower than the top 3 in the state. Colliins, Hilliard, Johnson will be the top 3. expect rasco and landry to be in or near the top 50. hill top 100 possibility. expect a few more in the top 250 (sylve and lewis for sure).

Let me clarify my comment.
I'm not saying that Hilliard is not good. I think he's probably a top 50 kind of guy, possibly a 5 star. I just think that he will be a 5 star lock because of his name and the exposure.
Not taking anything away from him. He's an amazing talent.
