Problem is that Big Woodrows, like most sports bars, has DirecTV.
That's the DirectTV that does *not* carry ESPNU HD. Amazing, but (for this season, at least) all too true.
Now, the better question is: Where to watch the game in Houston, and in HD. I'm a DTV guy, so I'm on the lookout for (I guess) a bar with either Comcast, UVerse or Dish Network.

Watching ESPNU at Big Woodrow's >>>>>>>>>> watching ESPNU HD anywhere else.

hd or not. you are not going to have a better place to watch the game.

Wow, I've learned more than I cared to learn about ESPNU HD here in Houston.
In case there's even one person out there who cares, here's what I already knew and what I've just learned about this:
-DirecTV: No ESPNU HD until early 2010 (subscriber, so already knew this)
-Dish Network: Apparently, no ESPNU at all (per website)
-Comcast (this one is my favorite): ESPNU HD is part of their HD lineup...THREE DAYS FROM NOW. Great.
-ATT U-Verse: The only game in town, apparently, if you want ESPNU HD. No freaking idea where I can go to watch it, though (99% of sports bars must be DTV, due to Sunday Ticket, I'd guess).
End result: If I have to watch the game in SD (awful), then the least I can do is head upstairs at Woodrow's and enjoy the atmosphere...even if Charles Scott running the ball in the rain will look like a blurry white/purple/gold dot on the screen.
Watching football in SD w/ friends at a great LSU bar is 1 billion times better than watching it in SD at home.
