One thing I remember about Ferguson that I noticed when he did games that were also on TV - If you listened to the radio while you watched TV, his description always lagged a little bit. This as not because of any technical electronic delay (back then radio was slightly ahead of TV), it was that he was deliberately doing it to get the call right. Hawthorn should use this technique, he has to correct himself too damn much.

Also agree on Hawthorn's negativity.

Unlike Hawthorne, when a player made a mistake, Ferguson didn't take it like the player did it just to piss him off.
