He started and played damn near the whole game except when he was rotated out for a breather. The D played 83 plays.

I agree. He is this years stud on D. Let's hope he plays like that every game.

Maybe he is this years stud on dline but you better keep a closer eye on Downs. He showed awesome speed off the line and all he needs is expirience and a little more muscle which will come in time.
As far as the stud on our D, its P^2 and nobody is close.

2 different players, 2 different positions. When you look at the potential NFL pros on this roster, Peterson is up there with Nevis, possibly Alem and possibly Coleman. I'm sure this can be debated but they are loaded.

All of our D/Line would be future NFL stars when our opponent's are blocking for a SCREEN Pass.

Fact is we never put enough pressure on Locker. Made him look like Peyton Manning picking our D/Backs apart.

More Facts: Was there any holding calls on either team on pass plays?

We have a 3/4 man DT rotation with the top 3 being Nevis, Alexander and Woods. I believe Nevis started and received as much PT as the other DTs.

He looked great and can't wait for him to have a big year.

Nevis is the Tigers best DT. I thought he was playing the best of all the DT's (after Dorsey's injury) the last few regular season games of 2007. When LSU played La. Tech in 2007, Tech, in the second half, was double and triple teaming him. Nevis's weakness right now, as a previous poster stated, is his weight. He does need to lose about 20 lbs to become truly dominant throughout an entire game.

You've got it backwards. If he was in better shape, he'd be able to play more. I predicted him to be the defensive MVP this year, but why is he fat? There is no excuse for a 21-year-old college athlete to be fat. Zero.

I agree. I made mention of it yesterday in a post as well. I really like the level of violence he plays at. I had heard so many people talk about Patrick Peterson and a few others but had not heard much talk of Nevis. He is definitely an explosion waiting to happen.

I thought Alexander and Woods did.

Nevis should be starting.
