Is it still possible to receive a medical redshirt if one has already had a redshirt year?

yes, you can have both.. however, the NCAA has to grant you the 6th year of eligibility... (you have to go before the board, etc.)

One of the main stipulations is that your original redshirt has to be because of injury as well.
