There are legitimate criticisms of Miles, but when you compare him to the other coaches at schools with similar resources and players, his record is as good as the others. Carrol, Richt, Brown, Tressel, and Stoops have faltered greatly in big games with the chance to win a national championship. Only one coach, Meyer, has more rings. Miles is 2 and 2 vs Meyer. Meyer has also lost games to teams that he should have beaten(all great coaches have). Saban is a good coach, but he is by no means infallible.He won a national championship here, but he did plenty of bone headed things also. Miles has recruited well. If he falters or decides to leave, we can get another coach who will also do a good job. But he won't be perfect either.
