Because 3 that he did have a winning record against were replaced by new head coaches.

He's 1-1 vs. Saban.

I would love to see the negatigers comments if we had someone like "Big Game" Stoops as our head coach, or Pete "Blow It Again" Carroll, or Mr. "One Conference Championship" Brown or "Can't Win the BCS Against an SEC Team" Tressel, or "I Can't Win Anywhere But Florida" Spurrier. Well, I guess that leaves only Meyer and Saban (who shows he has trouble winning at times too (remember Utah, Iowa, UAB, ULM, Arkansas, Auburn)?

Whatever way you slice it, Miles is the winningest coach in LSU history.

tigerinridgeland has hit the nail on the head. There are legitimate criticisms of Miles, but when you compare him to the other coaches at schools with similar resources and players, his record is as good as the others. Carrol, Richt, Brown, Tressel, and Stoops have faltered greatly in big games with the chance to win a national championship. Only one coach, Meyer, has more rings. Miles is 2 and 2 vs Meyer. Meyer has also lost games to teams that he should have beaten(all great coaches have). Saban is a good coach, but he is by no means infallible. He won a national championship here, but he did plenty of bone headed things also. Miles has recruited well. If he falters or decides to leave, we can get another coach who will also do a good job. But he won't be perfect either.

Pete "Blow It Again" Carroll,

Please show me the losses since 2005 (when Miles got here) that Pete lost to inferior teams. Then show me the same losses for Les.

Thanks.
