I heard Davie talking about this during the 4th quarter. Washington has not started classes yet and could prepare for this game as many hours as they wanted to. LSU has started classes and could only prepare 20 hours for the game. He was saying this was unfair and all teams no matter what should only get the 20 hours.

Makes sense.

no thats not what he was saying. he was saying that since Wash. hasn't started classes that they shouldnt have to follow the 20 hour rule until the week of the start of class. his opinion

The point is they could have practiced 80 hours for this game if they wanted to according to the NCAA.

Big advantage if you ask me.

quote:

NCAA rules limit student-athletes to 20 hours per week of "required" and "supervised" practice and training time during the season, and eight hours per week in the offseason.

I think we have enough of a talent difference that it shouldn't have made that much of a difference. They were getting a new head coach(and coaches) and schemes as well.

We just didn't play well - regardless of why. I am not drawing any inferences about our season but we were sub-par in the first game.
