Alright, I hate to start another thread...but im gonna. They can have fun deleting it if they want to.

Offense:

JJ looked very solid in his first outing of the season. He was a little shakey at first, but that is to be expected. He made several nice passes to TT and BL. (I especially liked that last TD pass). This was an extremily vanilla offense...what were you expecting? Heck, RS did not even get a chance to enter the game, so we didn't see 10% of this playbook.
QB - B
WR - A+ (TT broke out in this one)
OL - C
RB - B
TE - C

Defense:

This was the first game under a new D-coord. Its hard to get your system installed completely in just one game. The 3rd and longs bothered me too, yes. I seem to remember Bo had a similar couple games his first year too. Correct me if I'm wrong...and he turned out pretty good.

DB - C (with the exception of PP)
DL - B (not much pressure, but no upthemiddle runs being allowed at least)
LB - B (would get a C without the pik6)

Special Teams

Coverage - A
Punting/Kickoff - C- (This is D+ without kickoff)

Random Note: That espn broadcast was by far the worst I have ever seen...

Also, they looked tired in that game. I really think that 2000mile journey did its thing. Don't be worried tiger fans. Its going to get better...

Nice post. I think the O-line gets a D and the defensive line gets a D as well. They killed us when not running up the middle and got at least 3 yards when they did run up the middle. That should not happen. Their O-line was supposed to be horrible, they looked better than ours did. The safeties get a D-. Jones was so disappointing, I couldn't believe the tackles he missed. That kid's gotta step it up. Jordan Jefferson gets an A in my book because I don't think he was given much of a playbook to work with last night, he showed great escapability and threw the ball away when he had to which was more often than any of us would like to see. He was also very good with his feet, gaining 8 and 9 yards on several plays. He's quicker than many have given him credit for and the kid had NO turnovers which was very nice to see! Peterson and Toliver get A's as well. LaFell played well for the few times the ball was thrown his way. Keiland gets a B+ as well. Nice runs from him, he looks bigger and stronger this year. Charles Scott did not impress - C.

JJ- B+
OL-D
RB- B
WR- B (A + for TT)
TE- B

Defense
All around D's and F's. But that's not to uncommon considering the circumstances. Pelini didn't fare any better.

JJ scrambled a little too often, and run blocking was non existent

How can you give him C-. A 23 yard punt with no pressure and an average about 32 yards is bad. In a close game this will cause LSU to lose because of field position.

ok ok. I'm gonna lump special teams together up at the top. You can review it and then disagree.

Another note: I really really wish we could give up on this vanilla offense crap. I understand the strategy, but let the athletes do their thing and rip the playbook open. You can't plan for RS or anyone like him.

In my opinion, there were too many shots of coaches and the broadcast crew and not enough shots of the cheerleaders.
