someone remind me why this is a factor?

is there something about sitting in a chair for 4 hours that really takes it out of 18-23 yr old elite athletes?

the air is thinner making it harder to breathe and to a young athlete, that makes a big difference..they didnt even have oxygen tanks on the sidelines

theyre used to playing in the thick baton rouge air, not thin seattle air

It has more to do with time zone change.......although LSU was playing at 730pm pacific time.......there bodies where in 930pm central time....

Thats the difference.

I like how the announcers acted like none of the players would be awake at that time if they were here in baton rouge

is this sarcasm?

they are both at sea level

the humidity might be different, but the air in Seattle is no "thinner" (lower pO2) than BR

methinks you'se guise have never experienced jet-lag. At the very least, you haven't experienced jet-lag and having to compete in a college football game.

jet lag = flying across MANY MANY time zones

they flew 2 hrs apart - 2 days before the game

its a piss poor excuse

Other than that whipping on Arizona, name me a team that played well after traveling that far? Was Maryland even in the same zip code as Cal last year? Yet, Maryland walked all over them in that game. Georgia last year at ASU? Us at ASU? Ohio State at USC? Georgia today in the second half (and it wasn't near as far a trip) Cal at UT a few years ago? Name one. Please. There is a reason nobody wants to do it.
