On ESPN Classic. Barry Sanders--man among boys.

Here's something crazy to think about. Barry ran for 2600+ yards in 1988. Nowadays your bowl stats are counted on with your year stats so if you take that into consideration Barry would of rushed for over 2800+ that year!

I also admire the way he casually handed the Ref the ball after TDs. No showboating BS.

Correct. Whats even better is that EVERY D they played knew he was getting the ball. And couldn't stop him. GREAT BUT not as great as Hercshal Walker was.

BS. Barry owns Walker in every stat. Sanders was the greatest college and NFL back thus far.

NFL??? I would take Gale Sayers. HOWEVER I am a BIG Barry fan. He was amazing for the teams he played on. NFL Sanders>>>>>>>>>> Walker.
College- Walker>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. sanders.

It's like an entry at the race track--1 and 1a. You get a winner either way.

Jim Brown is by far the greatest NFL running back ever. Led the league in eight out of nine years in rushing yards. No one is even close to that.

I'm talking college. That said, you are correct, sir.

Without injuries Sayers is in the mix. Jim Brown is the best RB ever, there really is no discussion. They only played twelve games, not 14 or 16 games and his dominance is really not up for debate. He quit in his prime and never missed a game in nine years as a running back.
