I think few of us realize what a big part of the LSU offense Russell Shepard will be this year. In the last Scrimmage, for him to get as many carries as the big backs, more throws than I thought, and catches to boot, he will be on the field, I guess, half the time. That's my prediction.

I think they are just trying to see everything the kid has in practice. I think he will be used a lot, but not on half the downs. I think maybe 1/4.

If he's in on 25% of the snaps it's going to be an interesting year.

I really believe we'll look back at the Washington game and remember it for being, more than anything, the beginning of the Russell Shepard era at LSU. The kid is that special.

I don't expect Les to allow Sheppard to put his cape on until the Florida game.

Hangriff's description of Russell Shepard at QB with Trindon Holliday and Keiland Williams at the RB spot gave me chills. ESPECIALLY if Shepard becomes a decent passer this year.

that is probably about as unstoppable as a college football offense can be (on paper)

frick that. Make them have to gameplan for him as well as all our other offensive players. Not to mention the more he plays before that, the more comfortable/confident/sharp he'll be. We don't have to show all our hand, but hiding him on the bench would be kinda retarded.

Still not as scary as that McFadden, Felix Jones, Hillis trio at Arky a few years ago.

I just heard Shepard will play with the band at half time and sell cokes in the stands between plays
