It's been my experience that Mike and Mike know very little about the Saints, and are generally uninterested in them.

The Jets? You'll get an hour on them alone every day.

The Jets?

this is thanks to Greeny's love for them. Golic loves to talk about Philly a good bit.

You guys must get a delayed broadcast. I was watching on ESPN2 just prior to going to work and when I got in my vehicle the saints section was just coming on. (at 6:30 ish this morning)

They do the predictions twice on their program. they do it early and at the very end. I agree with Dirt...they pissed me off with the no research on the D at all. shite I could have done that broadcast.

1.Is Brees the best QB in the NFC? both said yes but weren't to quick to answer. They did praise Brees and our offensive supremecy, but who doesn't.

They said he was without question the #1 QB in the NFC and no one else was close.

quote:

2.Is this Reggies break out year? Neither felt it would be a break out year....they said what we've seen so far from Bush's career is what were likely going to always get. He's not an everydown back, more of a receiver, often injuried, will never be a featured back, only a RB by comittee.....blah blah, very unoriginal same ole generic bullshite that we all say on a daily basis.

That's the truth, he is what he is.

quote:

3.Is the Saints receiving corp the most underrated in the NFL? They didn't say yes or no, but both went on to say Colston is a beast and should have a huge year, and that Moore and DH are good but it really doesn't matter who Brees has to throw to.

They said they were without question extremely underrated.

quote:

4.Will the Saints have a top 10 defense? Both of em said no way, the saints defense has been a horrible compliment to there #1 offense. Which has been very true recently but neither one of those idiots even cared to mention one of our defensive upgrades we made. It was almost as if they didn't even know that the saints had added Gregg Williams, Jabari, Sharper, Jenkins, ect ect...totally ignored our revamped defense completely.

Agreed they did a very shitty job on the defense. Pretty sure that's why Greenie had them at 10-6. I feel he would've mentioned the D.

quote:

5.What will the Saints record be? Both agreed on 8-8, mainly b/c our defense was 27th overall last year. Went on to say...we should accept the fact that 8-8 sounds about right....b/c thats the norm for us, and its what they have become.

Other than a handful of anomalies in the Saints' history, what is inaccurate about their statements? The Saints predominantly hover around .500.

There predictions were pretty much what I expected.

BTW, when did you watch because I'm talking about the 6:15ish version of their comments.

I agree...they both took a typical cursory view based on how the team did last year - no mention of GW taking over the defense and speculating how the team would do if the defense is better, record-wise

those guys talk about a variety of topics and they are from the east coast which in itself lends opinions that are less researched and informed....
