It would be great for the old Gulf States Conference to re-form from the current Southland, Sunbelt, and including Tech.

This is the first thing you have said that I agree with. That would be a great conferenceBut there are some FCS teams in there. (Unless Appy and Ga Southern are planning on going 1A)
Look, we are just going to have to disagree. I certainly see your point about these two teams playing, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Call it elitism or whatever, but Tech is going in a different direction than ULM right now. Whether that is good or bad will not be known for a few years.
