the article says:

Demarco Cobbs (6-2, 205, 4.5)

I know what he ran at USC, but he has to at least be a 4.6...

He hasn't run a 4.5 in his life. Dude is a 4.7 if he's lucky. He bombed so hard at USC's camp they've stopped recruiting him at all as far as I know. Oklahoma and Bama are backing off too even though he lists Bama in his top 3

I think he's one of the more overrated guys this year. He's not bad, but he's not the 11th best ATH in the country.

He'll go to Tennessee because they're the only ones that would accept his commitment right now.

I'd like to have him but I doubt if we hold a spot for him.

First I've heard of that. Didn't know he bombed that bad.

They backed waaaay off. His stock seems to be dropping.

I'd rather have James Wright.

In his defense he has been staying on the camp circuit. Scout has him as a 5*

It's like I said in the rankings thread, Cobbs is one of the most overrated guys this year and he has sucked at almost every camp he has gone to.

Give me Curtis Carter over Cobbs

TB is right,way-way overrated, and I do see him at TENN. No one else seems to want him. It isn't that he's slow(he is),he's just not fluid. He won't be able to fool any corner in college. He is strong and physically mature, but no way is he even a 4 star IMO. The biggest thing here is all his home-state schools are passing. The services missed this one big-time. I hate to get caught up in the whole moving positions thing, but for Cobbs,I think he'd be a better lb,with his size and raw athletic ability, just saying.

No, he is looking for SEC offers and running low on options, But..................., there's always the Vols.

USC, OU obviously backed off. So did Bama and UGA, and it is clear that LSU has other priorities even if he wanted on board. It seems that Mr. 4.7 is going to love wearing orange..

This is true too. That 4.7 is problematic but at the same time..he ran a 4.6 shuttle drill. He's not fast straight line, he has no lateral quickness..the only redeeming factor he has imo is that he's a big body and even then he's not THAT big.

OU hasn't backed off. He's really raw as a WR. He plays QB for his school in Tulsa.

But, he isn't that fast and has to work on his route running and catching ability.

Now that we have Justin McCay, Cobbs knows that if he waits this out, he won't have a scholly left at OU. Not when OU is the leader for Kenny Stills and Darius White.

I liked him as a prospect, but it does seem Alabama backed off him. He was pretty high on us after his visit in June to a camp, and then the next think I know is we're looking more at Vincent Sanders for the last WR spot.
