Yes, LSU has a great football, team, a great Head Coach, great fans, but I really believe the campus it self is a huge draw for recruits. When to compare it to places like Tuscaloosa or Auburn, it just blow them away. I have read this from several different recruits including Garrett below:
But what sealed his decision was his official visit to LSU. Sounding like former LSU quarterback Matt Flynn, Garrett said the second he saw LSU he fell in love with the place.
"My father loved it, too. We were both blown away by the place," Garrett said.

By what 'place'? Thats a pretty broad description
. The campus sure is nice, but Baton Rouge isn't exactly anything to get excited about.
Its more a function of what you want. If you like smaller towns and a country/college town setting then Tuscaloosa, Athens, Oxford are your places. If you want a bigger city with more variety and population you'll want Columbia, Knoxville, Baton Rouge, Fayetteville. I hate to say it bust as far as campuses in large cities go.. the SEC falls pretty short when viewed against other BCS schools.

i love bama and auburn's campus'. i like that small town kind of thing where everything revolves around that school. and in auburn's case they built the whole city around the school.

From the subject I thought this was another Lane Kiffen thread.

Yeah, Auburn's campus is weak.
I was interested in attending Texas, TCU and LSU. Once I set foot on campus (lsu) it was over. Geaux Tigers!
