Upper Sideline vs Lower Endzone?

My wife and I are attending the Arkansas game this year and have a choice of tickets. We can either sit in the lower west upper between the 40 yard lines, or we can sit in the north endzone about 25 rows up.
I'm leaning towards the upper deck mainly because I have never sat there before, but how much of the feel of the game do you lose by sitting so far above the field?

It's not bad. At least you can see the whole field. It allows you to see things before they develop. Busted coverage, big hole opening, etc.
Never sat in the lower endzone so I can't really compare the two.

i would choose endzone without a doubt, and 25 rows up you'll see fine

this isn't really a choice if it were me- but sit in the west upper and i'll buy the NE tickets from you

I used to be a season ticket holder in the NE before moving to Los Angeles. The upper deck on the 50 yard line is intriguing to me simply because I have never experienced a game from there before.
I'm wondering if you can hear the band from up there and whether you still get that unique "Tiger Stadium experience" sitting in the upper level.

since the band moved, the West Uppers are as good as any seat in TS....can be rowdy, fun and without all the Baton Rouge "blue haired" old ladies bitching for you to sit down...

For 20-something years, I have sat in the "curve" of the north end zone, across from where the band used to be (section 210) I would not trade it for anything, except the club. (mostly because the club is air conditioned and has lots of great food) Take the North endzone - you will not regret it. 25rows up is fine. Lots of action in that section, guess cause of the band and students, etc. They really get into the cheering, dancing, etc.

Have you ever sat in the upper level?
If you had an opportunity to sit on the 50 for one game in the bottom of the upper level would you try it out once for the new experience?

The lower upper deck around midfield is the best seat in the house.

It seems to me that for viewing the game alone, and not for atmosphere, you may be right. That is why I am leaning towards that decision. My wife on the other hand wants to socialize during the game with friends sitting nearby.

Then go with what your wife wants. If shes socializing with other people, she wont be asking you dumb questions all game.

I've sat in the West Upper once and didn't like it because of the location of the band. My tickets are in the East Upper and I love it because you could see and hear the band and that makes it feel like you're in the game.
With the band being moved, West Upper should be fine.

If you know the section number you can see what the field looks like and compare. Just click on the section in this seating chart to see what the view is like.

We sat in the box seats right in front the student section for over 15 years, then about 10 years ago they moved us across to 209 because they gave all the box seats to the student athletes. I prefer the box seats over the ones we currently have, but no complaints.

Dont' know about West Upper, but we sit in East Upper and I love it, especially for the night games in September or early October. Much less humid than in the bowl - get a few breezes.
The atmosphere is great - most everybody stands and no one has EVER asked us to sit down. Usually a few guys in front turn around and motion for everyone to stand. You can hear the band fine, the people there are great, and you can see the whole field.
Can't imagine the West Upper is much different.
