Who should La. be obsessed with? Should they not care about MLB?

and they are always on tv. Just like the Cubs, and like the braves used to be. Probly Louisiana's 3 favorite teams.

There are a lot of Astros fans here, sure, but it is not near an obsession. There are also lots of Cubs, Rangers, and esp. Braves fans too.

I was an astros fan when I was growing up them and the Yankees. I think it was easy to fall in love with them cause they were so close but for me it was easy to fall out of love with them. The whole Nolan Ryan thing did it for me. Since then I have wished nothing but ill will towards them.

And while we're at it, what's Mississippi's obsession with the Saints?
What's up with that?

It makes me sad that the days of the Braves being on everyday are over. Me and my group of friends grew up as Braves fans because of TBS. Unfortunately, the Braves will probably not have a growing fan base in LA anymore because of the lack of exposure.

Plus alot of their fans are dicks.

Also, I grew up in Baton Rouge in the 80's listening to all the games on the radio, so they were easy to follow. I managed to avoid the Braves crush, even though all the games were on tv.

they have always been my favorite team. If I had a choice between LSU in the NC and the Astros in the playoffs. (division,NLCS,WS) I would chose the astros every time.

That's kind of harsh. baseball is huge in La. Kids playing little league want a team to follow, and Houston, CHi, and Atl fill that void. When I was a kid...Braves VS Cubs was like the freaking world series to me. It's natural that adult baseball fans would still have a favorite team.

i don't get why the south loves the astros...god they suck

Plus the Zephyrs were the Astros farm team for about 10 years. I remember watching Lance Berkman at the shrine on Airline, and Ken Caminiti stink it up on a rehab assignment

Steroids: they'll make you MVP quality for a few seasons, then you'll suck, then you'll die.
Totally worth it.
