I'm not really a Potter fan, took the sisters to see it.

Pretty slow and not much really happened IMO...

Spoilers!!!

For someone who is supposed to be such a badass Harry sure gets his arse kicked at the end.....Was expecting some sort of battle scene after Dumbeldor gets murdered....But Harry just gets knocked on his arse 3 times and thats it.

Agreed. My little one and I both said the same thing at the same time at the end. "Harry sucks at being a wizard!"

FWIW I thought is was a good Harry Potter flick and everyone in the audience seemed to think so too.

in the book, dumbledor stunned potter before snape killed him so he couldn't do anything. Once he died (that released harry) there was a huge battle scene through hogwarts, that was the highlight of the books. Snape does own him, but he does a pretty good job getting to him. The ending of the movie dropped the ball compared to the book

The 3 most powerful wizards in the Harry Potter Universe are Dumbledore, Voldemort, and Snape respectively, so he was taking on the 3rd most powerful Wizard in the world (now the second). And Snape can read minds very easily to where he knows the spell they are going to cast before they cast it, so Harry didn't stand much of a chance against Snape. In the book, Harry took down all of the Death Eaters in combat except for Snape, so they kind of pussified Harry down quite a bit.
