Reading through the baseball articles I saw this debate posted up over the column he wrote. They were saying LSU's tailgating at football games pretty much sucked, LSU's fans were all trashy hicks, and Texas had a much better gameday atmosphere.

All I am saying is that the gameday experience you get at LSU is one that other schools try to duplicate. The experience tailgating at Texas is one that people don't have many special things to say about. (Other then TX fans)

If I wanted an akwardly silent atmosphere I would go to Auggie's office when recruits asked him why he drank and drove.
How is drinking, cooking food, talking about the history of the CWS, passing out beads and having a good time screaming for your team doing the game a serious dishonor? Last time I checked, kids thrive to play in front of crowds like that, and everyone speaks of how great the LSU atmosphere is. Maybe if Texas followed suit you could get some better recruits.
Just a thought.

they're taking the sign out of context. The sign was in response to UCI's coach saying LSU fans don't know the civil war is over. It was a clever joke, but it goes over their heads

ShaggyBevo users have this misconception that they are the witty, passionate (with the right temperance) and intellectual (not just intelligent) fans of college sports.
The best thing to do is to ignore their forum in fact pretty much any other forum when it comes to arguing or good natured smack- actually most of us have been spoilt by the tolerance shown on TD.
