Champ Brock Lesnar vs. interim champ Frank Mir (heavyweight title unification) Via ground n pound ref stoppage
Champ Georges St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves (for welterweight title) via decision
Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago via decision
Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson Via second round sub
Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher

PRELIMINARY CARD

Stephan Bonnar vs. Mark Coleman via decision, Coleman is just too old. I still think Bonner is pretty mediocre.
Mac Danzig vs. Jim Miller via sub
Jon Jones vs. Jake O'Brien
C.B. Dollaway vs. Tom Lawlor via peruvian necktie for old times sake
Matt Grice vs. Shannon Gugerty
T.J. Grant vs. Dong Hyun Kim

hmmm. Lesner is a beast, he was beating the shite out of Mir in their first fight until he got caught in an ankle lock due to his inexperience. That was a while back and he has seemed to have progressed rapidly since then. If he doesn't make any stupid mistakes, he should win the fight. I just really don't care for him, so thats why I picked against him.

I really see all of the favorites winning this go around. However, if you want good value underdog picks I would go with Thiago Alves because he has big KO potential and Jake O'Brien because Jones is a HUGE favorite for only having 2 fights in the UFC and this is O'Brien's first fight at LHW since moving down from HW.

I actually think Coleman is a very good value bet. Good chance he lays on Bonnar for three rounds and gets a decision.

Alves is a big time threat. WOuldn't surprise me one bit if he wins. George has the advantage on the ground though and that is why I am picking him. This is going to be a great fight IMO, I just won't be surprised if a lot of it is on the ground with a bunch of boos in the crowd.
