When will MLB teams start to throw out contract offers to their draftees??

I am very eager to find out if ZVR and Colvin are given big contracts and if they decide to come back or not.

Many teams have already signed about half their draft class. I'm sure offers and signings for the top-end guys will be coming in the next several days/weeks.

Many already have, especially teams like the Diamondbacks that need their kids playing ASAP because they suck. (The team not the draftees.)

Here's a list of signees and $'s.

You'll have to find it as my computer won't let me get to the site at the moment.

Kennesaw St had 2 pitchers currently on their staff go in like the first two rounds. Wheeler, the pitcher commit went 6th overall, and they had a position player commit that went in maybe the 3rd round or so.

Some have said that Wheeler never had any intention of going to school so no big time schools offered. Kennesaw St has nothing to lose by offering, and a whole lot to gain if something unconceivable happened before the draft, or if he would have priced himself lower in the draft.

Kennesaw St is also in an area that is very ripe for baseball talent. Once they are eligible for the post season (they are new to D1) they will probably get the auto bid out of the Atlantic Sun more often than not.

I, too, sat by ZVR in Omaha. He told me and my friends that he would definitely be a tiger in the fall. That being said, he was just in Pittsburgh because the Pirates wanted him to see their facilities. He only stayed for one day though.

LSU Signee/Juco OF Chad Stang signed with the Brewers yesterday. He was an 8th round pick.
