LSU was acknowledged in Thailand today for winning its national championship baseball "match" with Texas:

That is funny! "Makes LSU win Baseball"

The grammar is rather funny.
I've met LSU alums here from every part of the world, especially many from Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Some of them are just rabid about LSU. In fact, there is a Persian LSU alum group in Orange County that gets together at one guys house to watch the football games.

It is funny but I think the grammar may be a translation issue.

Ya, when I worked in New Hampshire for a year, I was heading home from work before the V Tech game. Someone was honking their horn like crazy and I look over and all these Indian guys are in the car and the driver is just so excited to see an LSU guy. The enthusiasm was phenomenal.

I'm just glad we beat "the Texas"

If you hadn't revealed it was from a Thailand news source i would have sworn it originated in Alabama.

I love that. Friends of mine from other countries that had the chance to live in the South have had only great things to say. They'll tell others that we are much more interested in them and include them to make them feel at home, much more so than other areas of the country.

LSU is indeed fortunate to have such a coach since it was under his training that made them among the top College series winners in history.

Well, since the British invented the English language, most countries teach British English in school, rather than the American form of the language (in this article's case, the writer uses the British term "match" instead of the American term "game", he refers to "the" LSU, etc.). Regardless of which form of English that he uses, it's nice of the writer to acknowledge our school's accomplishments.

I can vouch for this statementfrom my personal experience.

Anyone here see the London newspaper's story on the Saints-Chargers game? That was hilarious.
