I've never cared much one way or another about Texas, but with all the recruiting competition going on between us lately, and now this series, sure feels like a rivalry to me now. Actually welcome it.

No. They do their thing, and we do ours. They recruit the state of Texas, we pick a few from Texas. They play in the Big 12, we play in the SEC. There is no yearly series as of now. For all we know, we may not play them for a long time.

Its going to be hard to sustain a non-conference rivalry for obvious reasons - at least on the field.

Bet you feel different if we play them in a bowl game this year, but valid points. Put it this way, they're MY rival now, just 100 miles behind Bama!

I really believe that, if we were in the big 12, that we could overcome oklahoma as texas' biggest rival. It would just take a couple of years.
