I read and saw a picture in The Advocate Monday where Anita Parsons King had a poster featuring the late Sandra McMurry her friend who made the trip to the College World Series in 1996 who died June 11.Sandra McMurry was my niece. I talked to her on the 7th of June. Her husband did not call any of the family and we didn't know she had died.Sad time to find out.Glad the TIGER'S won makes it a little better...

LSU sports has always been a part of my family. Watching with my Grandfather on Sundays and Saturdays. It's why Louisiana people are so passionate about LSU. It's our memories of our family and freinds that bring us together each year. Sorry to hear of your lost, But know she's in heaven watching with many LSU fans! Forever LSU!

I am Sandra's aunt on her dads side. You must be married to one of Pat's brothers. I am sure it was by accident that you were not notified. It was such a shock. This seems like a bad dream...

I saw the woman with the sign at Omaha at the Friday game, then saw the sign at McFly's Bar when they had the Tailgating Party. I talked to her and heard the interesting story about Sandra. Her death was unexpected, and they buried her right away. I don't think you were meant to be left out. It seems like her husband was really having a hard time dealing with it. Don't blame him. Anita wanted to bring Sandra's spirit to Omaha one last time, and it was a very nice thing to do.
