I was there in '97 from and it was AWESOME! Me and a friend drove from Dallas all night and pulled up to Rosenblatt at 6:00 am. There was already a line of LSU fans for tickets for that evening's game versus Stanford. We were given chairs, biscuits, and beer while we waited a few hours for the ticket window to open.

Watched LSU crush Stanford that night, partied, and then played golf on nice, cheap public courses in 65 degree weather for 2 days.

Saw the championship game down the first base line and headed to the team hotel for a raging party all afternoon. Went to Barret's that night and sprayed champagne with the players on the beach volleyball court.

I remember every second and wish I was heading north now....

The people of Omaha (fans, bartenders, cops, grocery store workers), they all said they routed for us to at least make the championship because we travel like no other group and we spend money.
