I was talking to a guy who owns 10 rental properties in the Garden District, Capital Heights, and Old Goodwood. He had someone who was transferring here to one of the bigger companies in BR look at his home and turn in the application. The morning of the signing of the lease, he got a call from the new tenant and said they found a home in Prairieville because they "heard" Capital Heights was not safe...

wow, I had people tell me the same thing when I bought in Capital Heights a year ago. These were suburbanites on the East side of town who hadn't set foot in the area in 10 years and had no f'ing clue what they were talking about. It is so dangerous in Capital Heights as people are walking, running, and biking up and down the streets. Last night I saw 3 people out walking their dogs at 10pm, and it must have been a good night, because I didn't see any of them get murdered.
