I know a lot of folks on here have not always had wonderful things to say about our damn strong football coach. Having said that meeting the man last night, and his incredible personality reminded me of exactly why we are so fortunate to have him as the head man.

He was a diplomate when the Alabama situation was addressed. Had numerous stories about past and present situations. He addressed the QB situaiton, the RB situaion with regard to Ridley. The man was just a total class act that we as LSU Bengal Tiger fans should appreciate as long as we can.

He was kind enough to sign several items, take pictures and make my childrens night, one they will not soon forget.

I think we sometimes overlook how important it is to not only look at a coaches successes i.e. Tim Floyd, but his overall persona. I now fully understand why the man is such a truely talented recruiter. If he came to my home to recruit my son, no matter my affiliations with other schools, I would be hard pressed not to seriously consider what he said.

Long, first actual post, but I thought Coach deserved it.

BTW Trent Johnson, was excellent as well. He addressed former Basketball players in the audience, as well as the parents of a current player Dennis Harris. We have quality coaching, we should be very proud to have stand up men coaching our damn strong University!!!

I agree the tour stop last night had me impressed with both coaches but I finally got to see a humerous side of Coach Johnson that most people haven't seen yet, he really cares for the players and the fans and loves the amount of pressure Tiger fans place on him!

Haven't posted in a long time, but I'm compelled to say this. I was in attendance last night, and as I remarked as we were leaving, at this point I am more comfortable with both our football and basketball coaches than I ever have been since I started following LSU athletics as a kid 30 years ago. Both coaches are truly class acts, and I was very impressed with both. Miles was articulate, funny, comfortable -- basically everything he is not during normal press conferences. And I was very impressed with Johnson, especially his willingness to be frank with the fans (for example, he mentioned that Bo Spencer sometimes has a problem being on the same page with the coaching staff). All in all, great event, and I'm proud to be a Tiger.

I want to thank all the LSU fans who were at the Atlanta Tiger Tour stop last night for your enthusiastic support of LSU and LSU Athletics. The function exceeded all of our expectations, and we know that it made a lasting impression on Coach Miles, Coach Johnson, and the TAF & LSU Alumni staffers who were present. It solidified what we all already know, that Atlanta is a great city with strong LSU support. We would love to host events like the Tiger Tour every year, and I know the Tiger fans in Atlanta would love to see that kind of support as well.

I would like to hear your feedback abotu the Tiger Tour. Tell us what you liked about the event. Tell us where you think we can improve. You can send your feedback to info@tigertouratlanta.com. We want to begin working with TAF to insure that the Tiger Tour comes back to Atlanta in 2010, and your feedback is essential to helping us make that possible.

Again, thank you for your support of LSU and LSU Athletics!

GEAUX TIGERS!

Drew Wilkinson
Treasurer, Atlanta Tigers chapter of TAF

He spoke highly of JJ, really seemed to be the starter and team leader. He spoke highly of Lee will get a chance to compete, almost sounded sorry the kid had to go into the season a year earlier than he should have.

With regards to Shep, said the first time he saw him throw, was not very good. Improved dramatically, by the end of spring practice was reading defenses well, would not have a problem playing him. Basically JJ, Lee, Shep, Garrett. But expect more Shep than Lee.

Ridley is already running full speed, and is back working with the rest of the running backs. Expects him to be 100% for 2 a days.

This was a great event, all of the tiger fans in the ATL that did not attend missed a great show. Drew, Karen thank you for your support and dedication to making this event happen.

Only suggestions would be more of a cajun dinner next time, especially since that is so hard to find up here. Really was very nice.
