Thought he pitched a huckuva game. Good luck to Southern. Hopefully, LSU will get to play them again.

Kudos to him because he happened to be born left handed?

Southern played for their National Championship today. I also wish them luck in their next game.

Why do LSU fans always say this when playing in state schools?

It's nice that you hold your team in high regard, but this wasn't southern's National Championship. As you can see first hand, this team can play baseball!

4 Errors and sloppy play. They were just smart to throw a lefty.

In 99 and 02 they didn't throw a lefty? what was the excuse then?

LSU had down year teams in 99 and 02 and Southern was pretty good.

He's a really good little pitcher. I wonder what happened between he and ULL though.

Ok man! LOL, it's obvious your "fan" ego is too big to admit this is a pretty decent ball club and had this team balls on the chopping block but couldn't pull the rope on the sledge hammer to close them out.

He redshirted in 06 and didnt make an appearence as a rs freshman in 07. He would have had a chance, he just had to wait his turn.
In 2006 our team era was 3.56 and in 2007 it was 3.75 with 7 pitchers off of those staffs getting drafted and playing pro ball now.

Isn't that what good teams do?

Any true ball player and fan of the game knows that "you win some and you lose some!" It doesn't matter what the newspaper, stats, or rankings say.
Just give that team some repect and stop down playing it like LSU wasn't trying their best today!

I agree. Southern played very well through the first 6 innings. Not only did the pitcher pitch a very good game against LSU, but the defense played well behind him.
However, it did appear that Southern lost concentration in the seventh after Richard was pulled. In addition, their relief pitchers struggled to find the strike zone.
I, for one, am happy that the Tigers came out of this game with a win. Good luck to Southern in the rest of the tournament.

He did an excellent job. He had pitched against LSU 2 previous times and was ready for them. Had he been able to go longer, it could of gotten interesting.

In fairness to everyone else, I don't know of any coach in America that gets as much from his teams as Coach Cador does. The man is a class act also. Coached a couple of kids he's recruited in the past and really enjoyed talking to him about baseball.

I do agree that Richard did a hell of a job today...pitching at that level would be welcome on any team in the country...but to say that a team that just got beat 10-2 in only 8 at bats had LSU's balls on the chopping block is flat out silly....

Hats off to the Jags. They played great for the first 6 innings. We they brought Wahl in, that was it.
