Still kills me that the umpire made that call when you can see that he didn't even see the play. He made the call based on the reaction of the Irvine players.

I like the emotion shown by our coaches on that play. Great heads up play by DJ to get back in time.

Call was one of the worst sports calls ever. Still amazed at the arrogance of the guy making the call and not even seeing the play.
To bad the You tube link doesnt show the angle that shows the second base ump not even looking.

I was looking directly at that ump when that play happened, and you're right. The guy was not even looking at the play until the Irvine player started hopping and dancing around like a Kansas City Fraggot. He completely panicked and made a call based on the reaction of the players involved.

I was outraged over this and I couldn't have cared less about who won that game. The ref said that he went up before the play and said "I'm going to only raise my hand halfway, be aware of that." He clearly fully extended his arm. He basically just told the ref to give him a free ride, and he did.

I came damn close to getting thrown out of Buffalo Wild Wings in Bossier City over that blown call, but I met a hard core Tiger fan that night. That reminds me, I need to call him and catch up.

i was mad as frick at that play. It caused me to be banned for the first time
