i am getting married this sat at 1pm. should i have a tv on in another room at the reception? my grandmother is a HUGE lsu baseball fan. however i did go to a wedding when lsu was playing ucla in the final four during the reception, and it kind of killed the reception. my mom says no, my dad would probably say yes. or i could get the band to announce the score. some of the cajuns might laugh, but who cares. most input would be appreciated! (aka no dumbass comments about changing the date of the wedding)

of course put a tv in the reception, why'd you set the date during the baseball postseason? You knew LSU would be there.

Easter was two months ago...and lent is only 7 weeks long...you've got another 30 weekends or so to pick from...

Why can't you get married during Lent? Is it a Catholic thing?

Are you the bride or the groom? (I know, the handle is "mrsmiller", but I don't assume anything).

Skip the game and focus on your wedding. It's your fault for scheduling your wedding during baseball playoffs. Suck it up.

LSU will likely be in the 6:00 game. Won't the wedding and reception be over by then?

I say put on the t.v. if you want to, and don't worry about what everybody else thinks. If watching LSU is important to you, than put it on. A lot of people in attendance will be pretty happy about it and those who can't understand it are probably pretty small minded and would get pissed about something else anyway, so give them something to be pissed about that is a least worth something to you.

The worst are the fricking idiots that get married on a Sat. night during football season, and then wonder why the attendance is down at the wedding.
