Is anybody else besides myself kinda excited that Ole Miss may start to be competative again. I think that it renews the Ole Miss/LSU rivalry.

I hate Ole Miss as much as the next LSU fan, but, with the exception of '07 and '03, we haven't exactly had our way with the Rebels in recent history. Most of the games have been pretty intense.

2008: Ole Miss 31-13
2007: LSU 41-24
2006: LSU 23-20 OT
2005: LSU 40-7
2004: LSU 27-24
2003: LSU 17-14
2002: LSU 14-13
2001: Ole Miss 24-35
2000: LSU 20-9

Same here, or we would have put up 70.

It's been a one-sided rivalry for the past few decades that can't be fixed a year or two.

Insane. Saying any Ole Miss success is good is like relishing the thought of bringing back communist Russia or reconstructing the Berlin wall. Never forget, Ole Miss is the runt of the SEC and will always be the runt of the SEC. Certain things are meant to be.

Sorry...I meant '07 and '05....not '03. Anytime you start the game with a pick-six, it isn't a good thing.

I would rather Ole Miss be improved than Bama.

Choose one:

A. /_/I would rather play in the toughest football conference in America

B. /_/I would rather play in a second-rate conference such as the PAC-10 or ACC

If you chose A, you have to hope that the other teams in the conference are pretty damn good. You can't have top dog status in a conference of mutts. That's why I'm always glad to see 6 or 7 SEC teams in the top 25: that's just the price you pay for being in the elite college football conference. So if Ole Miss is getting some mojo back, fine with me. It just makes beating them all the sweeter.

This is true with one exception "Ole Miss"

I hope they lose every game they play in every sport from football to chess!

Ole Miss is usually pretty decent every 6-7 years. They will suck after this year again especially without "O" recruiting for them. We all know how good of a recruiter Nutt was at Arkansas which has more to offer than Ole Miss.

I'm with you on this one. During my father's days at LSU, Ole Miss was the game of the year. I look forward to a more competitive series with the Webels. Its going to be a lot more entertaining to beat these dweebs when they have something on the line also. Anyone who enjoys beating mediocre teams misses the real excitement of college football.

Let's see what happens in the next 10 yrs.
If we win 9 of 10...they're punks and serve no purpose
If we win 8 of 10...we own them and their women
If we win 7 of 10...they're nothing more than a speedbump
If we win 6 of 10...big brother, little brother dustup
If we win 5 of 10...a real rivalry/border war
If we win 4 of 10...pass the coolaid.
