I can't understand why the benevolent aliens in the Indy flick destroyed everything around them once the skull was returned. Made no sense.
If the natives had not already been killed by the bad guys, then the alien ship leaving would have killed them all.
Also, the legend stated that returning the the skull would grant you a wish. Once again, if the aliens were so friendly, then why did they melt that poor woman's head?
I just can't believe Lucas had as much time to make the movie and yet it still made no sense at all.
Seems like he just felt the need to toss special effects all over the place to cover up the fact their was no real plot.
Oh and what about the fact that the John Hurt character was unable to enter the temple because of the complex puzzle, yet it took Indy about 25 seconds to figure it out.
I guess this movie pisses me off more since Lucas took a nice franchise, dropped his pants, and crapped all over it.

You know what? I don't think that it seemed that way, unless you like to say that water seems to be wet and made up of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen.
