I'm trying to get a sense of how many people who are coming up for the UW game are planning to play a round out at Chambers Bay ( LINK).

Could be worth looking into getting some kind of big group deal.

I really want to, I'm only up in Seattle though Friday Night-Monday morning. Only way I could get by playing is if we had a 7am tee time on Sunday or if the game was at night and I played early Saturday.

I'm guessing it will be a day game.

I would be almost 100% sure ABC picks this up for their 2:30 slot. Like CBS with the SEC, ABC has first dibs on PAC-10 ball.

and 7 o'clock start in Seattle would be mean a 9 pm start central time zone and they dont want that.

I could see a 5PM start, I guess, which would be 8 back east.

Last years first ESPN primetime game was:

9/1/2008 8:00 PM Tennessee Volunteers vs UCLA Bruins ESPN (720p)

Very similar situation, eh?

Also, lets not forget that ESPN is ABC so them choosing LSU for a 2:30 game woould undercut a great chance at a prime time game.

UW vs. LSU has good story lines with UW trying to regain some dignity and LSU trying to prove that the Peach Bowl wasn't a fluke. Just saying...

We have a group of 3 hoping to play Chambers Bay, looking at Thursday morning. But could also play Friday if a group outing starts to come together....

That's a hell of a drive. Also, i grew up in Portland and there are a number of better courses than Langdon for similar prices. Camas Meadows up in Washington is much better as is Pumpkin Ridge if you're willing to spend a bit more
