To maintain that recrutiing edge. Another 8-5 year will kill the mojo around the buzz of LSU remaining a national contender year in and year out. We need to let the nation know that LSU will remain a power for years to come and let recruits know that they will be going to a possible national champ contender yearly. Come on Les give us at least 10-2. I travel to gainesville almost every weekend and need some LSU neutralizer in that gator-infested town. .

If nothing else, I think we will be much better coached this year. I'm pretty happy with the changes on D so far. If we just get the natural QB progression that comes with an added year to both JJ and JL, I think should have a really good year.

I don't think that it'll kill recruiting buzz in the area even if you have another 8-4 year IMO. LSU is much like OSU in the sense that there are always a lot of good players in state, and if you can semi close the border, then pluck a few out of state, you'll always be in the top 15 nationally IMO

Kids don't pick schools based on their prior years W-L ratio, there is a lot of other reasons they pick the school they want to play at. e.g. Bryce Brown and Janzen Jackson.

If you are saying UGA is a tougher game than Ole Miss, you didn't watch the Red/Black scrimmage yesterday.

Ole Miss will have a returning QB and more offense easily.

UGA will have more talent across the board then Ole Miss will. I just feel they will be a tougher win.

We should be favored in all but the Florida game.

Does Ole Piss have an SEC quality defense?

I don't see how it would be possible for LSU to go 8-5 this year with the talent y'all have. The QB issue was the only real problem last year. You take away the pick 6's and y'all beat us in regulation. I think the QB problem is solved and I think LSU and BAMA will be a pickem for the West. If LSU goes 8-5 this year the problem is not on the bench.

I think Ole Piss will be the wild card. they beat either bama or LSU to decide the west..

I want to say we lose against UF but I just can't do it because it's in Tiger stadium. man I am really looking forward to this game there would be so much hype if we were both undefeated.

I do not think there will be an undefeated team in the SEC this year during the regular season. BAMA has the best shot at it because our schedule is pathetic but I still think we will lose at least one game.
