Tiger Tour - Jackson

Has anyone heard why the Jackson stop will not happen this year? Got a curious letter yesterday that there will be a meeting by the local chapter "to discuss the matter."
This stop has always been well-attended by central MS and NE LA tiger fans.

Word on the street is someone in the Jackson Chapter pissed off Joe Alleva, so he made the executive decision to cut it out of the tour.

Based on the tone of the letter, that sounds like a reasonable explanation.

Fixed. And i have heard what happened. I won't get into it on here. It wasn't pleasant. I got the same letter.

Well where will I find out what happened. That is kinda of crappy the rest of us have to pay because a couple of people can't get alone. This could be costly in alot of ways. Aleeva however you spell his name comes off like jerk that would do something like this.
I DON'T LIKE HIM.

I heard it wasn't Alleva, and the letter kind of confirmed that. Read what i quoted in my post. That's who canceled it. He had his reasons, and i really don't know which side to take. But based on the information I heard, I would have to take the Generals.
And i agree with you 100%. It's messed up we all have to suffer.
I don't know where you could find out. I got a letter saying be at a meeting, and they are going to explain the matter, but somehow i doubt they are going to tell "what really happened."

Hey Barry,
This sounds like a big todo going on. I guess I could call bh and find out but that may put him in a bad position. And that would be the last thing I would want to do. Well, all I can say is this is very interesting and really costly for recruting etc... up here.
Wow, this is really a big deal. I guess I am just beginning to think of all the reprocutions that could be involved.
Whew, keep us informed as much as possible.

This is a big todo. You could call bh, but from my source he was the one who the Gen had his differences with, so you may only get one side to the story. I like bh, and he does a great deal for the MS chapter to keep us involved with this huge event. But if my info is correct, i'm not happy with how bh went about this course of action.
ETA: You would probably laugh if you knew what they argued about.

Man I bet this is a hell of a blowup in the Ms Chap. Well it will all come out and I am sure it is just stupid.
I like bh also have known him since tigers unlimited and also as a customer. Well i guess I will find out in due time. Might be wise to stay the heck away from this cf.
Hey, thanks for the info. You seem like a pretty level person. All I can say is

For the 100's of fans who usually attend, it's a minor frustration. But for the bh's and couple of big donors here, I'm sure they are none too happy about this.
If the argument was indeed petty, TAF is out of line punishing everyone.

Think of it like this, tickets are almost $40. 500 people probably attend. TAF just lost $20,000 if not more. All that money is going to the coaches. That's a big deal in my book.
This problem needs to be corrected before next year, b/c it sucks them not being able to host this thing. Alot of tiger fans don't get a chance to go down to BR for games, and this is their only real link.

Everyone involved needs to offer up apologies and carry on. IMO, this petty disagreement hurts no one more than TAF, regardless of where the blame lies.

I agree with you, but it's not a good thing to be on the bad side of TAF. I mean all they really have to do is schedule another one in another state to make up lost revenue. Simple. Meanwhile it hurts us joe blow fans in Jackson. Someone needs to pony up and start apologizing whoever is right or wrong.

Does anyone have an update from Thursday night's special chapter meeting?
