How about this, guys?
Went to LSU for 2-1/2 years......father suffered spinal cord injury (now a quadreplegic). I am the eldest of 5 children. I had to drop out of LSU, spent a year in hospitals helping my dad, and helping my mom raise 4 younger children, including a youngest handicapped sibling. Once my father got well enough for me to do so, I re-enrolled at Centenary College in my hometown so I could continue to assist my father and mother, and graduated 2 years later.
I have regularly attended LSU games over the years, and stay connected to all my old frat brothers and other friends from LSU. Although I've worked and resided in Houston and OKC for almost 25 years now, my love for LA and LSU remains strong. I am a strong combatant of "OU Sooner fever" in Okieland, and wear my purple and gold proudly on my auto and my sports gear.
Do I fit in? Am I a "we" or a "they"??

Here's my litmus test: When LSU plays Centenary in basketball or baseball, which team do you support? If the answer is "LSU", unequivocally, I think you're in the "We".
Hey, I'm tough but I'm fair...
