i'm thinking about going when we play UGA and would like to know what section of the stadium they stick the visitors in and how is the parking around the stadium.

Went in '04. Most LSU fans were up in the upper, upper deck. We got our asses stomped, so the entire experience was pretty miserable.

Been three times, including the mud-hole stomping in Saban's sorry arse (also the coming out party of sorts for one 2 star running back).

Parking isn't great, but I like the parking garages on campus (steep $$ though).

Tailgating is pretty good even by our standards. Really nice campus and lots of places to unload your recycled beer.

i went last time... we were in the clouds in the triple upper deck (taf tickets). Game sucked, fans sucked... great campus though.

Sat in the upper deck. It is wayyyyyyyyy up there. I won't go again if I have to sit up there.

I concur with what everyone else is saying. If you're lucky you'll be in the small section of LSU fans near the band and players' tickets. Otherwise you'll be very high up in the end zone. Bring your binoculars if your eyesight is like mine.

It's a nice experience but the seats are very far from the field - farther than the highest end zone seats in TS. Also get ready for the GA band to turn and play "up" toward the LSU section above them - pretty lame IMO.

I would have enjoyed it better but it was the 1999 Josh Booty (almost) comeback game that we lost 22-23

So what you're all saying is, don't waste my money going to Sanford and just wait to take my son to a game in Tiger Stadium?

Me and my brother went in 04 and took the stomping. I like the stadium. We sat in the upper with all the LSU people. I would go again. That place was friggin loud.

i've heard that game in 04 was the loudest that stadium has ever been, but there really isn't a buzz coming out of that place otherwise, very non-intimidating

Totally agree. I was at the game in 04 sitting in the UGA alumni section, and that was the closest thing to TS that Ive ever experienced. Pretty cool place, but totally sucked on that day.

Was there with an LSU friend in 04. Seats down about the 5 yd line. I was the last seat before the UGA sections started and I didnt have dog in the fight but he wanted me to go because I had been there when Bama played them. The UGA fans were horrible. I never heard a stadium that loud or fans that taunting. It was intimidating walking to the stadium, in the stadium and after, walking back to the car my friend was ready to fight.

Going into the stadium that day a UGA undergrad said "you're gonna get what u gave us in BR last year". Then the fun began. Its a tough place for LSU and fans.

wonder why they can't get up to beat FLA.???

Hey bayside i bet it was totally different when little nicky took the tide there last year. My father in law (UGA fan) told me you could hear a pin drop, the entire first half.

I've been once. Do NOT under any circumstance walk around with a open container in Athens. Be aware where the campus ends and the city starts.

other than that, it was a good experience

they talked a lot of smack but it was good-natured. u have to expect that when you go to an away game. depends on what you consider poor taste. i met a few a-holes but they yelled from far away. no one got in my face.
