He wasn't starting every game before.I think he will platoon with a few guys and only DH against right hand pitchers.He can help in the conference games as a pinch-hitter as well.I don't think he should play in the field much if at all.

I don't think it'll be an immediate return, that's kind of a slap in the face to those who were working their arse of for 20 games he missed

Not to mention the fact that he has the worst swing on the team and many base running mistakes.

No one will ever compete with Ochinko in that category. Might be a bright kid in most areas but lacks basic base running skills. Whenever he's on the bases anything can happen.

I agree Catman. I will be crucified for typing this, but here goes. Chad Jones is an incredible athlete, but that's it. He isn't a baseball player. He doesn't think baseball and he doesn't move like a baseball player. He makes base running mistakes, bad throws and he doesn't hit the ball consistently.
With that said, I would love to see him tear a catcher's head off in a home plate collision. Stick to football.

he doesn't exactly set the world on fire on defense in the outfield either .. has misplayed the ball badly a few times in left so far this season ...

i talked to him during MG, said he was having trouble even standing for a long time while at the parade. not going to get into the other things though. But he wouldn't have been much help this year

he will split time but i think after a few weeks back his bat will come around in time for the sec tourney.
