thanks for the insight. the hospital is in NW corner so i think edmond might be my best bet. also, i have already bought a very large, obnoxious LSU flag. it will be displayed before anything gets moved indoors.

Although not a LSU alum, they are my 2nd team and I currently live in OKC having moved here almost a year ago.
Edmond is fine, but I would recommend two areas just north of the city center.
Crown Heights: it's an historic old neighborhood that is well maintain and very safe. It has some houses that are close to a $1 million in value and others that are smaller and great for young couples/families that you can get for closer to $200,000. I live here and it's an awesome area.
Edgemer Heights: Very similiar to Crown Heights in proximity and demo. Just a little less expensive but still some really great, neat old homes that are perfect for young couples and families.
Both are close to two great parks. You could bike into downtown. And are close to all the cool bars and resturants on Western Avenue. This is a great area with lots to do.
Both areas are close to 235 and 44-I mean real close. And both can get you to Bricktown, downtown, 63rd street area in 5 minutes or less. And both can get you up to the bars and resturants and activities at Lake Hefner (OKC's Lake) in less than ten minutes.
It's a great town (never thought I'd say it) and a great college sports town.
