and NC lost which most people outside of chapel hill thinks would happen, would tarheel fans react about the loss as some LSU fans do about this one.?
North Carlolina is a basketball school.
LSU is a football school.
We won the SEC (oputright) and made it to the tournament and won a game. Lost to probably this yrs nat champ.
I call 2008/2009 LSU basketball season a sucess. Im proud of them.

Not saying that it isn't far and away the biggest sport, but we have a very well rounded AD and we shouldn't be satisfied just to "get there" in any sport.

obvioulsy... however some things are the way they are and in BR, football is king as basketball in Chapel Hill is.
Duke may make it to Rose Bowl one day.... but I wouldnt bet on it.

I don't see where everybody is bitching that much. Pretty much the consesus is UNC was the better team. The only people causing problems are the people tryin to stir shite up by comparing overall sports programs, etc. Can't be dull around here without someone stirrin the pot of shite.

Not the same thing at all. We should aspire to be a top tier team in all sports, like Texas or Florida is.

I think Fla is up on us right now, but wouldn't say that about Texas... very close though.
An SEC champ this season helped out cause, anouther trip to omaha would be great... anxious to see if we can bounce back form tough football season the way Fla did. (winning a football NC is not a must, SECCG would solidify us)

AS an overall sports program since 1990....how many national championships has LSU won......and thats counting the dark days of Curley football......now compare that to texas, fla, oklahoma, Bama, and whoever else......
How many NC's has LSU won...in EVERY sport...?

If we would have lost this game in the regular season it wouldn't have mattered as much, but this hurts more or we care more b/c they put an end to a wonderful season that we had.

I don't think LSU fans are taking the loss that hard.

We have just as many SEC titles in basketball as football, and BY FAR our most successful alumni sports wise come from our basketball program. UNC is a great program, but I hate that people are just writing this off like a gimme loss. Our basketball programs are much closer than our football programs.
