The sad thing about that quote is that he believes what he wrote. I live and work for one of the largest companies in Temple, TX. I can't remember ever having a UT graduate over our division. In my 24 years in the R&D division we have had LSU, NDame, aTm graduate's at the top. Not one UT graduate has moved up to be a V.P. or Director of R&D. FWIW no body gets extra pay because of their UT sheep skin were I work. IMO UT has nothing to more to offer than any other college has to offer. They try to claim to be on par with the Ivy League, MIT and Stanford. What they forget is that most of these kids are not trying to get a degree in nuclear physics were a MIT sheep skin might have more weight than all of the colleges from the Big 12 or SEC. How many UT football players wind up at NASA or at Fermi National laboratory?
