I would say that Taz is a strong SF. It would be better if he could extend his range, but he is a SF. I would also call CJ a PF, but that isn't the main point.

Does anyone really agree with calling Taz a real PF?

He plays like a PF. If he was an inch or two taller, this thread wouldn't exist.

He is playing out of position right now. As a Freshmen, when we had tyrus and Baby he was able to play the SF. Thats his true position!!!

Not really. I'm not saying he is a PF, but he plays more like that than a SF. A small forward is a faster guy who can shoot 3s and drive to the basket with ease.

I am not hating on him, but I feel he is a SF. I think he is fast enough and can drive. I feel his only weakness is shooting the 3. If he did make it to the NBA do you think he would currently have 3 point range?

I think if Taz played the 3 and CJ played the 4 they would be more productive. They just don't have a C on the team. If they had an average C they would be a truly elite team.

He plays more like a PF because that is the position they are making him play. He played more like a C in HS(where they played him). Do you think he was ever a true C?

If Randolph was here, yes, we'd be skull fricking people IMO

True dat.

We would then stick it up the other teams arse. Not talking about the trophy that we would win.

Well then we would be playing with two PF, but you are correct because Randolph is that good.

Also imagine if we would have had Brandon Bass for the Final Four team. I think we would have been killing teams. He also had no reason to leave since he wasn't even a lottery pick.

He is a small forward in size, but a power forward in skill and mentality.

Then Tyrus Thomas would have never got a chance to prove what he can do. We were better off without Bass that year believe it or not

Many players become great 3 point shooters once they enter the NBA...there are coaches that work with them on nothing but shooting...he has a good enough foundation to be taught to be a great shooter IMO
