Here's the situation: Saturday night I will be going out to eat in Baton Rouge with three other people. We will be dressed in formal attire (tuxes, long dresses, etc...) and would like to eat at a non-chain restaurant for around $150-$175 total (tax and tip included). Where would you suggest?

Prom?
If so, you should be able to do this at a lot of places because you wont have an alcohol bill to worry about

Not prom. Alcohol may be consumed, but will probably consist of a glass of wine each.

Gino's is my favorite spot for dinner in BR. Love that spot.

You should drink more.

We are going to an event afterward where much more drinking will take place. Don't worry about that.

I'm still voting Mansur's.

Cane's. But you might be cutting it close since they keep raising their prices.

me personally, I would feel pretty fuking stupid dressed like that going to a place with 3 others and dinner only costing 150 bucks....
I can spend that at sammys, wearing a shorts and a polo.
so to answer your question, I have no idea.

Gino's is defintly good idea. Forget Mansour's way overrated. Juban's is another one you could do. Ruffino's and Chris Ruth are another two.

Looks like it will be Gino's or maybe Maison Lacour's early diner special (we will be eating around 6pm). At $27.95/person plus a $30-40 bottle of wine, it should end up around $170-180 I think.

Right. My point is that I will NEVER spend 150 dollars at Sammy's. Not even for four people. If I'm going to spend over 100 dollars on dinner I'm going somewhere a bit nicer than that.
