I thought they had a good chance to make the confrence finals this year. For being picked to finish last in conference, they had a good year. Congrats to them.

Louisiana Tech plays Nevada in the WAC semis tonight at 11 on ESPN2.
They split in the regular season, so Tech does have a shot.

the officiating in this game and the last Nicholls game was horrible on both sides of the ball. Southland conference refs are worse than SEC refs

i watched both games Nicholls played in the tournament, but have not gotten a chance to watch them play live this season. Do the refs in southland always call that many ticky tack fouls??

i thought they let them get away with too much in the paint on both ends, but called the perimeter too close
that was a blantant pushoff that didnt get called on the inbounds play when UTSA shoved down Payne when Nicholls was down 2

I didn't blame the refs BOOM, i said they were bad on BOTH sides of the ball. If Nicholls makes there free throws today they win. I jut noticed the refs were overall really bad in all the southland conference tournament games I watched.

Nicholls played close games all season long, and won about 90-95 percent of all them. The luck ran out in Katy.
Now the test comes to see if Piper can show some consistency next season and prove this year wasn't a fluke. The pressure will be on now. Anything short of a return trip to the SLC tourney will be a disappointment considering the Colonels just lose two players.

Bathie and Justin Payne are goners. They were the two seniors. I guess Piper will head to Aussie Land to recruit some more players from down under within the next few weeks.

What do you think about Bose? He reminds me of a shorter Peja money from 3point land. Think he could make it as a shooter in the NBA or D-League?
