Reminder:

This is the Practice report thread, not the "bash jarrett lee" thread.

Post all practice report information here, and i'll edit it to this post.

QB:

quote:

Senior tailback/part-time fullback Charles Scott, who will be a leader of this offense, already sees what he wants to see out of Jefferson.

“I get into who’s running the huddle the best, who’s got the most awareness of the field,” Scott explained. “That’s what I look at the most. Jordan, you could tell, he came in and took control of the huddle (Thursday).

“You can tell. It was obvious.”

Defense:

quote:

"I think I might take it all the way back to my true freshman year when coach (Nick) Saban was here," Alexander said. "It's backs to the wall and nothing but maximum effort. Not to take anything away from coach Pelini, but this style is more intense. It's what we need after last season."

In general:

quote:

"T-Bob practiced in green jersey and foot work looked sharp. Lee threw the best passes. There is no clear FB. The LBs all appeared jacked up 10 to 20 lbs muscle. Chavis is already putting the ultra talented DBs in proper positions. The OL is playing mean and ugly. The DL needs to step up. The WR corps need to step up and show what they were touted to do after highschool. The RBs were big and powerful looking."

quote:

The Tigers will practice 15 times over the next five weeks, including workouts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The spring game is set for Saturday, April 18 at 5 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.

If you will read he said until the starter is obvious, in 07 you couldn't get more obvious than Flynn. RP wasn't mature enough to carry the team and still wasn't after Flynn left.

Was J Russ not the known starter going into the 2006 season? I'm pretty sure he was...
