I have no good answer for that other than the fact that none of the bottom six coaches have necessarily separated themselves from anyone else so it's almost like Spurrier is given that nod due to name recognition alone.

Agreed....I guess we can assume that Meyer would be 7th or 8th on this list had he not won the National Championship last year considering he and Les would be on equal ground as they would have both won NC's w/ the prior coaches players 
.
So I guess when LSU wins another NC in the next 2-3 years then Miles will be 1st or 2nd.

I'd put Miles over Saban, but not over Nutt. But I wouldn't put Nutt over Saban. I'm confused.
