I stated this in the game thread and got no response, but he really reminds me of a young Louis Coleman. Same motion, lots of movement on his fastball, and good velocity. He is going to be very good.

I havent been to a game this season. i live in Monroe, but i was wondering for those of you who had been to a few. Is this years squad gonna be a gorilla ball team like lsu of old or is this a speed team with alot of hit and runs, stolen bases, and sac bunts? How good is the pitching staff? especially the newcomers.

They're a good combo of both. They have speed and power. Hell our leadoff guy has 3 hr's already.

Yeah, I was watching him warm up in the bullpen last night, and he has some serious heat.

That kid seemed real cool last night. It did not look like a freshman. I was impressed.

Is he any relation to Mel Ott, the Hall of Famer?
Posted on 2/26/09 at 12:54 pm to beauthelab
Not sure. I know his brother plays for Nicholls.
Posted on 2/26/09 at 11:20 pm to beauthelab
