Pittsburgh Food Recommendations - Preferably Old School Italian Close to Downtown

Thank you for your help. This board has always been great in making recommendations for our vacations. We appreciate all of you.

Also, we would appreciate all bar/restaurant advice near PNC Park. Tomorrow is Skenes bobblehead day. We are Rays fans, but pretty excited to see him pitch.

Was up there years ago when LSU played West Virginia during football season. All I remember is how good the pepperoni rolls were at Mancini’s bakery.

The Italian place we ate at was excellent. Talia

Close enough to walk to the stadium from there.


If you like Japanese (not exactly sushi, but they do have a roll or two), Otaru was our favorite place we ate. It's in the hillside across from the stadium, so you can take an incline to get there. Cool experience.

Girasole. Not sure how close it is to downtown though tbh
