Republicans who want Kevin Warsh confirmed as the country’s next top economic official are growing more exasperated at a Trump administration probe standing in the way. For months, outgoing GOP Sen. Thom Tillis has said he’d blockade President Donald Trump’s pick until the Justice Department drops an investigation into current Fed Chair Jerome Powell. Now a growing chorus of Republicans, eager to install Warsh as Powell’s term as chair comes to a conclusion next month, are joining the call for the administration to end the probe.
quote:
Senate Majority Leader John Thune said Wednesday he believed the administration should wrap up its investigation, and acknowledged that Warsh is basically stuck until then. “I think at some point they’re going to have to deal with the committee, and they’re going to have to deal with Tillis,” Thune said of the administration.

It's the only reason. Trust me, no one on that committee gives 2 turds about Powell. It's about hiding how bad the fraud and mismanagement has been.

No doubt they are on the take for some of that $3 billion.

Somebody needs to float the idea that this kind of quid pro quo in a DOJ investigation is probably illegal.

just think if Powell would have listened to world class economist DJT he wouldn't even be under investigation.
Warsh has Epstein questions he will have to answer and that's going to be an issue.

For those that cry about Trump not doing enough.... here ya go!
It's amazing and miraculous that he's accomplished what he has considering the entrenched, rotten, vile, anti American, traitorous mother frickers that oppose anything he attempts. All the while hiding behind a facade.
Each day, I'm amazed at the utter ignorance of some folks that either can't or won't recognize the federal government blob that rejects everything our forefathers intended.
For example, do you believe our forefathers intended to tax every Americans income, then states tax property, inheritance, and some tax income, then have local government tax property and anything you purchase,
and on and on........
Your an absolute fricking imbecile if you support the above. Trump is not perfect, but he's trying harder than any past POTUS to steer us back on track.
If you don't agree.... no worries! You'll eventually understand.

You make a ridiculous argument. As if Trump made economic decisions alone, by himself, while taking a shite one morning! Lol
He's surrounded himself by others who absolutely are qualified to make economic recommendations.
Scott Bessent is the top of the list!!!
Ok... now tell me how Scott Bessent is qualified..... lol
